About this group

Lake County Students for Justice is a new initiative dedicated to empowering high school students to take an active role in shaping their community’s future. The group is focused on mobilizing young voices in support of Coghill for Congress, to engage voters and peers with the campaign’s vision and policy priorities as outlined at www.coghillforcongress.com/policies.

Mission:

• Equip students with the tools to understand and advocate for issues that matter to them.

• Provide opportunities for civic engagement through campaign events, voter outreach, and community service.

• Build a network of motivated young leaders committed to justice, equity, and democratic participation.

Academic Credit:

Participation isn’t just about activism. It’s also about learning. Students who contribute to Lake County Students for Justice will be eligible to receive certificates of participation, which can be applied toward academic credit or service-learning requirements at their schools.
