The people who have contributed the most to the prosperity of America are those who work at the bottom, not the top.
It is time for those who built this country to benefit from it. For the first time in history, a 30 year old is doing worse than his or her parents at the same age. The American Dream has been torn apart, and it is the top 1% who ripped it at the seams.
We are the ones paying for stock buybacks and private jets. Every denied health insurance claim helps with the down payment on a yacht. We get 5 pencils, and they get jets.
A Democratic Congress will promote the general welfare, and make the rich pay for their privilege.

We freed the slaves. We cured polio. We had defeated fascism. We put a man on the moon. We passed the Civil Rights Act. We cleaned our air and water.
If Corporations and Oligarchs are the 800-pound gorillas, the US Government is 900 pounds.
The Constitution created the Congress in Article I, and the Presidency in Article II. All legislative powers in the United States are vested in the Congress of the United States. The President cannot spend any money unless we say so.
The Executive Branch will see a Democratic Congress with teeth.

Our democratic leaders have stood by while masked men with no ID kidnap people off the streets. Due process is not an inconvenience, or some WOKE liberal talking point.
When you do not have due process, you can never be sure who you are jailing, or who you are deporting. DHS and ICE, under the direction of Kristi Noem and Tom Homan, are running the largest Human Trafficking ring in the world.
“I was just following orders,” was not a legitimate excuse in 1945, and even more so it is not an excuse in 2025. The criminal Statute of Limitations for Human Trafficking in the United States extends far past the next Presidential Election.
A Democratic Congress will make Noem and Hogan’s lives hell.

The one that other peoples throughout the world have looked to for guidance and leadership.
The Brand AMERICA is in rubble throughout the world. What was once strength, honesty and win-win, has become paranoia, whining and crying. We need people in government who have the ability to understand how others live, and how others think. We cannot afford the stupidity to think that we are smarter than everyone else. Beyond our borders do not live a lesser people.
America is not great as the world’s policeman. However, the USA has been terrific as the world’s EMT. We can exercise soft power as a trusted and reliable partner, or China can do it.

A Democratic Congress will relight that beacon of hope the world needs.

They are attacking educational institutions not because they are liberal, but because they are threats. Reality has a well -known liberal bias.
Public Education is the basis of our working and middle class. Cut Head Start, and billionaires get more Melania Meme coin. Gut teacher training, and just let the AI bros teach (and profit from) your kids. Slash grants for special education, and give the money to ExxonMobil.
The Democratic Congress will block the idiots in the Executive Branch from selling our children’s education to the highest bidder.

We the People need Congress to secure it for us. Too many have suffered permanent setbacks due to medical debt and bankruptcy. Medicare for All is coming, and Republican lawmakers can jump on board, or we will simply run them over. Their choice.

The unalienable rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, do not depend on any of the descriptors above.
Pretending that LGBTQ+ people don’t exist doesn’t make it so. When Republican lawmakers have noticed them, it has been as scapegoats for problems Republican lawmakers created. LGBTQ+ people have literally founded our country, designed our Capitol, and sacrificed in our wars. They will not be erased and they won’t be excluded. Get over it.

And in the chaos they’ve created, women are dying from pregnancy complications because doctors are legally barred from providing care under a confusing patchwork of state laws.

Meanwhile, Speaker Johnson is a proud member of a fundamentalist movement that believes women should be subservient to men. These are the warped and dangerous people shaping our reproductive policies.

When I’m in Congress, the right to decide if, when, and how to start a family will be treated as what it is—a basic American freedom. That right will not be infringed.

There is no one silver bullet, and it will take wind, solar, hydro and nuclear in addition to other resources we haven’t even considered yet.
My father grew up in Charleston, West Virginia, and the joke was that you should never trust air you couldn’t see. We are not returning to such a “golden” age in America. Under this next Congress, we will institute green energy accelerators to give the next generation of entrepreneurs a head start to inventing the energy tech of the future.
We won’t be picking winners, we will be setting the stage for the winners to be American. For the record, yes, that is an endorsement of the Green New Deal.

Everyone who works has been paying into Social Security from Day One of his or her employment. Not only will social security not be cut, it will be expanded when I am in Congress. Eliminate the cap on social security contributions. Tax the rich, Protect social security. It is that simple.
