Illinois Progressives Endorse Morgan Coghill as Grassroots Support Keeps Building

Mundelein, IL – Morgan Coghill’s campaign for Congress today announced an endorsement from Illinois Progressives, adding to a growing list of organizations backing his candidacy in Illinois 10. 

The endorsement follows recent support from Northside Democracy for America, The Justice Coalition, the Illinois Muslim Action Network, and Cook County Latino Democrats.

These endorsements reflect a growing rejection of the centrist strategy that has dominated this seat for years. 

Voters see a pattern of waffling between appeasing MAGA and playing possum, issuing careful statements while voting in ways that empower ICE, bankroll genocide abroad, and leave working families squeezed at home. 

“Every endorsement we receive comes from people who are done being told to wait while their lives get harder,” Morgan Coghill said. “Illinois Progressives understands what more people are seeing every day. The old Democratic establishment strategy failed. Working people want leadership that will actually defend them.”

Illinois Progressives cited Coghill’s clear positions on economic justice, civil rights, and foreign policy, along with his refusal to take corporate PAC money, as reasons for their support. 

Their endorsement brings experienced organizers and volunteers to a campaign built around door-knocking, community meetings, and direct conversations with voters.
