Morgan Coghill Statement on Congressman Schneider Finally Agreeing to a Public Forum

Mundelein, IL – After backing out of an earlier public appearance when he learned Morgan Coghill would attend, Congressman Brad Schneider will now appear in a public online forum with Coghill on February 19, hosted by the League of Women Voters of Lake County. 

Coghill released the following statement:

“After chickening out of facing his own constituents and using a staffer to gaslight Indivisible organizers in the press, the ones doing the hard work of protecting our neighbors against the Trump administration and ICE, I am happy Rep. Schneider has come to his senses and decided to do the job our tax dollars pay him to do, show up and listen to his constituents.

On February 19, I look forward to being in that room and getting a straight answer from Brad about his record. I want him to explain why, when ICE has been surging into our communities and citizens have been executed in the street, he supported a MAGA-led “thank you” resolution to ICE and called for deeper collaboration between this deadly force and local police.
