Cook County Latino Democrats Endorse Morgan Coghill for Congress
Mundelein, IL – Morgan Coghill’s campaign for Congress in Illinois’ 10th District today announced an endorsement from Cook County Latino Democrats, arriving on the heels of endorsements from The Justice Coalition and the Illinois Muslim Action Network.
Together, these endorsements reflect a growing coalition of working people across IL-10 who feel ignored by a style of establishment Democratic politics built around caution, consultant language, and donor comfort.
Cook County Latino Democrats highlighted Morgan’s working class agenda, including a $25 minimum wage, universal healthcare, affordable housing, fully funded public schools, and strong infrastructure that keeps communities safe and connected.
“This endorsement means working families are linking arms across communities,” Morgan Coghill said. “Latino families keep getting squeezed while politicians keep cutting deals with corporations. Wages lag, rent rises, and healthcare stays out of reach. Then our incumbent joined MAGA on House Resolution 488 to praise ICE and welcome local cooperation with it. People want someone who takes their side and fights like it.”
The endorsement quickly follows support from Palestinian and Muslim led organizations who have demanded moral clarity from elected officials during more than two years of mass death and manufactured famine in Gaza.
Coghill has spoken plainly about the genocide and pushed for an end to U.S. tax dollars funding atrocities in Gaza, while Brad Schneider has continued to align with AIPAC interests and the political network that defends furhter violence against Palestinians.
“These communities see the same pattern,” Coghill added. “Corporate interests and lobbyists get meetings while working people get lectures about patience. This campaign belongs to the people who keep the lights on, raise the kids, staff the hospitals, teach in the schools, and build the wealth everyone else takes credit for.”
Combined, these endorsements strengthen Coghill’s campaign field operation by expanding its volunteer base, trusted community messengers, and neighborhood networks, giving Morgan a clear advantage in turning out voters across IL-10.
